Safeguarding
At Netley Sailing Club we want all of our members to be able to fully enjoy all aspects of club life and this is why having a strong safeguarding culture is so important to us.
The word 'safeguarding' conjures up all sorts of thoughts in people's minds, some at the more extreme end of the scale, and it is true that we must all be aware that, thankfully rarely, serious safeguarding breaches do happen in all sports clubs, including our sailing club. However, strong safeguarding practice is about much more than just these extreme cases it's about knowing how we can all contribute to ensuring that Netley Sailing Club remains a safe and happy place for all of our members to enjoy. It is crucial to remember that safeguarding is everyone's responsibility.
So, please do take the time to read through the club's documents, and please do take on board the points made in the Good Practice Guide and Code of Conduct. You are also very welcome to feedback on any of these documents to the welfare officer who will be delighted to discuss them with you.
