Saturday Series Starting This Weekend!

We're excited to introduce our brand new Saturday Series, kicking off this weekend!

This series is open to all, but is especially designed to encourage those who are new to racing to get out on the start line in a relaxed and supportive environment.
There will be two starts:

• A normal start

• A novice start, giving those younger or newer to racing a bit more space and confidence to get going

We'd really encourage anyone who's been thinking about giving racing a go to come along this is exactly what it's for!

A supportive environment
For our more experienced racers, we'd ask that you please be mindful and supportive of those who are newer to racing. The aim is to create a positive, welcoming experience, so:

• No shouting

• No aggressive manoeuvring

• Plenty of encouragement

Let's show that racing at the club can be fun, inclusive, and not at all intimidating.

Get involved
If you're an experienced sailor and would be happy to:

• Sail alongside someone less experienced

• Offer a bit of guidance on the water

• Help them build confidence

we'd love your support in making this a success.

Your Race Office for the Saturday series will do a competitors briefing at about 12:00 on the patio before the racing to talk through how it all works and explain the course and answer any questions you have and to try and make it as great an experience as possible

Let's get as many people on the water as possible and make this a great new addition to the season
